Josh Remsberg Takes On Role as Head of Commercial Partnerships at EVEN

In an exciting development for the music industry, the direct-to-fan platform EVEN has appointed Josh Remsberg as its new Head of Commercial Partnerships. This role, which is a fresh addition to the company’s structure, was announced on September 25, 2025, and is expected to play a pivotal role in EVEN’s strategy as it continues to grow its commercial landscape.

Josh Remsberg brings a wealth of experience to EVEN, having most recently served as Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial Strategy & Revenue at Warner Records. His departure from Warner in July 2025 came amid a departmental restructuring that resulted in a significant shift within the company’s marketing and commerce teams.

In his new role at EVEN, Remsberg will oversee the company’s commercial relationships throughout the music sector. This includes direct engagement with labels, distributors, managers, and artist teams, among other essential partners in the industry. Additionally, he will manage EVEN’s commerce relationships, which encompass merchandise partnerships and connections with key industry and chart-reporting organizations.

During his tenure at Warner Records, Remsberg demonstrated his capability to drive significant growth; he played a vital role in increasing US revenue by an impressive 30% and expanding the label’s market share by 35%. His notable contributions involved managing commercial partnerships and strategic marketing for a diverse roster of artists, including Zach Bryan, Benson Boone, and Teddy Swims.

“Josh understands both the creative ambition of artists and the commercial realities of the teams supporting them,” noted Mag Rodriguez, the Founder and CEO of EVEN. “As EVEN continues to scale, he will help us deepen our relationships with labels and partners across the industry and expand how they use EVEN STUDIO to build stronger artist businesses and create more value around music.”

Before his time at Warner, Remsberg spent two decades at Universal Music Group, where he held various key positions. His last role there was as Senior Vice President of Commerce & Business Development at Capitol Records. At Capitol, he was instrumental in shaping digital strategy, business development, digital deals, marketing technology, and more. He notably worked on release strategies for high-profile artists like Katy Perry, Halsey, Paul McCartney, and Niall Horan.

EVEN is not just expanding its leadership team; it is also making strides in the industry through strategic partnerships. Earlier this year, the platform entered a multi-year agreement with Universal Music Group in February, positioning itself as a direct-to-fan resource for the major label’s artists. More recently, in June, EVEN collaborated with independent music company Cinq Music to bring its tools to Cinq’s distributed roster.

Remsberg co-founded the independent management company Art Associates, representing talents such as Mayer Hawthorne, Gabriel Garzón-Montano, and Tuxedo. His extensive background in both artist management and commercial partnerships positions him uniquely to drive EVEN’s mission forward amidst evolving industry dynamics.

In Remsberg’s perspective, the current landscape offers artists unprecedented opportunities to connect with their fans. “This is a moment when artists have more ways than ever to reach fans,” he shared. “But there is still an enormous opportunity to make those relationships more direct and more valuable.” He sees EVEN as a platform that not only coexists with streaming services but also opens new avenues for artists and their partners.

EVEN, which launched in April 2024, is designed to sell music, content, and experiences directly to fans before they become available on streaming platforms. The company supports over 30 payment methods across 140 currencies, ensuring a broad and inclusive reach. It also reports eligible sales to Luminate for Billboard chart inclusion, making it a player of significant stature in the music distribution ecosystem.

Artists engage with EVEN through two key products: EVEN Marketplace, a consumer-friendly discovery platform, and EVEN Studio, a white-label solution that transforms artist websites into dedicated fan destinations. Notably, EVEN has onboarded more than 500,000 artists, facilitated by direct sign-ups and partnerships with over 3,000 labels and distributors in more than 110 countries.

Remsberg’s appointment marks yet another significant addition to EVEN’s leadership team. In October 2025, Lauren Wirtzer was named Chief Operating Officer, bringing her experience from notable organizations including SoundCloud, UnitedMasters, and Instagram.

As EVEN strategically enhances its commercial partnerships and continues to innovate within the music sector, the appointment of Josh Remsberg stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to supporting artists and nurturing strong connections in the evolving landscape of music consumption.
