October Well-Loved Edit: Beauty Essentials and Skincare Favorites

Nothing derails a blog schedule quite like an unplanned root canal. Add a busy month on top of that, and here we are—just a few days into November, sharing my Well-Loved Edit for October. Late or not, I’m excited to share the pieces and products I reached for and loved the most last month.

Anastasia Volume Tinted Brow Gel

First on my list is the Anastasia Volume Tinted Brow Gel. Anastasia has earned her reputation as the queen of eyebrow products for good reason. I’ve relied on her pencils and powders for years, and I appreciate her understanding of cooler tones—like pale taupe that doesn’t veer warm.

As my brow hairs seem to drift into cat-whisker territory, I need a gel that provides color and hold without falling into the laminated trend. I want my brows to frame my eyes—not to steal the show. This gel in Taupe has been my go-to all month long. It strikes just the right soft tone, leaving no risk of the Groucho Marx effect.

Ilia Super Serum Tint

Next, we move to the Ilia Super Serum Tint. This product has been a staple in my beauty routine for years. While many women opt to warm up their complexion with bronzer and contour, I prefer to embrace my paler skin tone. After using Balos ST3 for four years, I recently sampled the paler Rendezvous ST1 in-store, and it’s become my new favorite.

To sweeten the deal, I have a discount code, AWSL15, which gives you 15% off! I’ve also recently picked up their Soft Finishing Powder—stay tuned for an update after I’ve tried it for a few weeks.

Plum Beauty Oil Reserve

Another noteworthy mention is Le Prunier Plum Oil Reserve. After trying the original version last summer, I found myself falling in love with the Reserve variety. The fragrance is heavenly, reminiscent of soft almond and marzipan.

What sets this oil apart is its composition—mainly oleic acid, similar to marula and argan oils—which explains why my skin feels incredibly soft after application. Unlike some oils that leave a greasy residue, a few drops of this one absorb quickly and effectively. It’s become a delightful addition to my post-moisturizer routine.

Evolve Hydrating Hand Cream

As we transition into drier months, my hands have been feeling particularly parched. So, I’ve made it a point to keep Evolve Hydrating Hand Cream on hand (pun intended). I own this hand cream in several scents, and they are all light enough to apply anywhere without bothering those around me.

The clean ingredients and small size make it convenient for small purses. Additionally, you can use the code AWSL15 for 15% off your purchase.

Dazzle Dry

Lastly, I can’t forget to mention Dazzle Dry. This isn’t just my October favorite; it’s been my sole nail polish choice for years. With soft, weak nails that peel easily, traditional polish just doesn’t work for me. After giving up gels and acrylics for health reasons, I found that Dazzle Dry fulfills all its promises.

This four-step system is cruelty-free, non-toxic, fast-drying, and claims to last seven days—and it really does. The whole process takes me about 10 minutes, and removal is a breeze with regular polish remover. I tend to stick to pale shades due to my short nails, but the color selection is delightful.

Your Turn

That wraps up my October favorites! Fingers crossed that my dentist and I are done seeing each other for a while—here’s hoping November’s edit arrives on time. Now, I’d love to hear from you. What did you find yourself reaching for last month? I genuinely enjoy hearing about your beauty and skincare routines!
